when and where can i get that bread?

we are currently exclusively selling through "drops". we announce on @eat.fro Instagram a location and time window. you can reserve a loaf for pickup here on our website and come meet us to pick yours up! we are often also selling loaves out of the bakehouse in Red Hook, so if you are nearby, just message us to confirm!

we're also exploring partnerships with shops & restaurants, so if you have any places you'd love to see frø, please dm us and we'll reach out to them!

what's in the bread?

the ingredients of our danish rye bread are rye flour, whole rye berries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds, salt and water.

we are committed to using simple, whole ingredients in all our products.

how/ with what do i eat Frø?

you can eat Frø hundreds of unique ways. it is the perfect canvas for all your favorite culinary pairings.

some of our favorite toppings include:

  • butter & gouda
  • chicken or tuna salad
  • any cheese & cucumbers
  • cream cheese & smoked salmon
  • tinned fish
  • cold shrimp and remoulade (danish style mayo)
  • brie & figs
  • fried breaded fish and remoulade
  • cottage cheese, heirloom tomato & sea salt

how do i store Frø / what is the shelf life?

this bread is a no preservatives, real food only type of thing. as such, it doesn't last forever and responds to its environment. don't freak out! that's a good thing.

most of the time your loaf should stay fresh in the bag for several days after picking it up. if your home is a little too warm or humid, mold is likely to grow faster. if it's cold and dry, the crust will harden (which is usually totally fine - it does a nice job staying moist inside - just a little more difficult to slice).

as the days progress, pop the Frø in the fridge to prolong its life, just like you would any other bread/ most fresh foods.

Frø is also absolutely delicious when sliced and frozen. lasts 3ish months that way! just toast to resurrect.
